Panalpina’s new Healthcare Logistics Center in Weiterstadt near Frankfurt/Main has obtained Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification and is ready to assist healthcare customers with the handling, transport and storage of their temperature-sensitive medicinal products. Frankfurt is Panalpina’s third logistics facility in Germany’s Rhein-Main region, alongside Moerfelden and Neu-Isenburg.

Panalpina is expanding its Perishables Network into Germany. Panalpina has entered into an agreement with the Cool Chain Group, Germany (CCG), taking over business and a team that is specialized in international air freight and the import of perishables. Panalpina recently delivered an exceptionally large shipment of pharmaceutical products to Brazil. A cargo plane took off from Frankfurt airport carrying 187 pallets of temperature-sensitive cargo, destined for Brasília International Airport. The shipment was an urgent order from the Brazilian Ministry of Health.
